Training - Information literacy

Information Literacy is a training service aimed at students, PhD students and academic staff of the University of Bologna.

The library, also in cooperation with the other University libraries, organises initiatives on:

  • guidance on bibliographic research strategies and on the effective use of catalogues and databases
  • critical evaluation of the relevance of the results obtained and of the quality and reliability of documentary sources
  • correct use of information, in line with the principles of academic integrity and in compliance with the University Code of Ethics and Conduct (Art. 28)
  • drafting bibliographies for articles, theses and other scientific works using citation management software

The librarians are available to academic staff affiliated with the Department of Management (DISA) or the Department of Economics (DSE) who wish to propose training initiatives for their students.

On the Information Literacy page on the University Library System website, you can find information on courses as a Transversal Competence and the calendar of initiatives promoted by individual libraries.
